Morocco's Earthquake Support
Donation protected
Hi everyone.
My name is Edouard Senhaji, I am a proud Moroccan, living in Casablanca, Morocco. I am the Head of the Sophis Practice and Country Lead for Morocco at Phi Partners with a team of circa 30 people.
On Friday 8th September 2023, Morocco suffered a devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake with the epicentre in the Atlas Mountains, south of Marrakech. The effects of the tremors could be felt for several hundreds KMs and across multiple regions however, the majority of the destruction and loss of life was centered around the Marrakech area.
Whilst our team in Casablanca and their families have all been accounted for safe and well, their home villages have not all be so lucky so we want to ensure we can help those in need and would like to ask for your support raising funds for essential supplies such as:
- Tents and mattresses
- Blankets
- Clothing
- Food
- Children's diapers
- Medicine
- Assisting families
- Rebuilding
We would like to ensure we can act swiftly so the better solution for us is to gather donations so we can buy more local opposed to having physical donations shipped for expedience and then we can take the supplies to the villages in most need and support in person where possible.
Any donation is much appreciated and will really help us contribute to aiding those in urgent need in times of a national disaster here in Morocco.
Thank you in advance.
