Bereaved Morne Prosper Family In Need

Donation protected
This fundraiser is to support the children of Avonelle Charles and Marshall Jean Jacques, who lost both their parents within 24 hours at New Year in Morne Prosper Dominica. Avonelle died after a life of domestic violence and Marshall subsequently took his own life.

The family members are reaching out to the people in Dominica and around the world to help them provide for and support the four youngest of the seven children, two of whom are still in primary school. The older two are in secondary school.

Lifeline Ministries will manage this fund, which has administered an educational scholarship fund (The Piton Foundation) in the village for some 20 years. www.lifelinedominica.org

The monies collected will be used towards food and school expenses for the children. Counseling for all the children will also be required.

Prior to this tragedy, the family lived off the produce from their garden. The older adult children are employed but have their own children to support.

The family is hoping to raise £8000 to provide 500ec (£200) per month for each of the youngest four children

In-kind donations of Groceries and school supplies would be welcomed too.

If you can share this fundraiser with your friends by clicking the “share“ option after your donation, it would mean so much to meet our goals for the children and family.
