Morjan (Mo) Recover from Hate Crime

Many of you know Morjan (Mo) and his beautiful spirit! He's the kindest friend with the warmest smile. Moe is a pillar in Minneapolis, a beloved artist, activist and community member. He's touched so many of our lives, and in this critical moment, we need to show up for him.

After the Lizzo concert on October 11th, he was brutally attacked in a hate crime perpetrated by a large man who was sexually harassing his friend. His jaw was shattered in two places, and he has a traumatic brain injury affecting his day-to-day life. He has undergone surgery and is experiencing brain fog and PTSD.

As an uninsured creative, medical bills have piled up. He is unable to work due to his severe injuries. Mo needs and deserves to have his rent paid, to have resources to survive, resources for recovery, and to be able to pay medical bills while he waits for state insurance to kick in.

Mo is the light of Minneapolis. This viscious, hate-filled attack on our queer, Arab immigrant friend needs to be responded to with an outpouring of love and support from our community.
