Help Save Moriah's Life - Cancer Treatment Fund

Dear friends, family and community members,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My sister, Moriah Roy (Irace), a 35-year-old wife, and mother of two beautiful young girls, Aviana and Laliya, is fighting a brave battle against metastasized breast cancer in her lungs. Her journey has been filled with immense strength and determination, but now she faces a critical moment that requires our collective support.

Moriah has been battling this aggressive form of cancer for four long years. She first underwent surgery while pregnant with her youngest daughter in 2019, and despite her resilience, the cancer returned in 2022, spreading to her lungs. She has undergone multiple treatments and surgeries, but the symptoms have continued to worsen. Sadly, the doctors at Mass General can only offer a drug that temporarily pauses the cancer's growth, leaving her wheelchair-bound and reliant on oxygen, with difficulty breathing and eating—a life far from high quality.

There is hope, however, in an experimental treatment available in Tampa, Florida, that offers a chance to save Moriah's life. This treatment is not covered by insurance, and the cost is a staggering $6,000 per week for 8-10 weeks. Additionally, the expenses are not limited to the treatment itself, as they also include housing, travel expenses, rental car, and their necessities back in Rhode Island, such as their mortgage and utilities.

Moriah and her family are now faced with an immense financial burden. They have been displaced to Florida to pursue this life-saving treatment, which means they can no longer continue working. As a community, we have the opportunity to come together and provide vital support during this time of great need. Our donations can make a tangible difference in Moriah's life and give her a chance to be there for her loving daughters and devoted husband.
