My name is Jeff Core, I am a 50 year old public school teacher and coach. I've been pole vaulting off and on since 1985. Mostly on! My community of Morgantown, West Virginia needs this club to create opportunities for kids. We have great kids here that succeed in all disciplines they pursue. There have been shining moments in the pole vault here. There has been resistance through it all. If I don't start this club, the opportunities for kids to attempt this event will go away. I have helped many through the years set personal bests, win championships, set records, and achieve scholarships . OPPORTUNITIES! I think it's a worthwhile way to spend my time, and I think the kids here deserve the chance to do wild and fun things that allow them to chase opportunities, just like so many in so many other places across this country.
