Morgan's Mission for Wren's Independence

Hi, my name is Morgan, and I'm reaching out with a heartfelt request to support my incredible daughter, Wren, who lives with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy.

Wren is 5 years old, full of life, and has a beautiful spirit that inspires everyone around her. However, her mobility challenges mean that she depends entirely on her wheelchair or an adult for daily movement. Transporting her to school, doctor appointments, therapy sessions, and family outings has become increasingly difficult and unsafe due to the limitations of our current vehicle.

We are raising funds to purchase a wheelchair-accessible van that would allow Wren to travel safely and comfortably. This kind of specialized van has a built-in ramp or lift and enough interior space to secure her wheelchair, which would make a world of difference in her quality of life—and ours as a family. Both myself and Wren's father, Matthew, have suffered back and shoulder issues from the strain of picking up and positioning Wren into her car seat.

These vehicles are expensive—typically costing between $40,000 to $70,000, even for used models in good condition. We are doing all we can to save, but we need help from our community to reach this goal. We have applied through insurance and state-funded programming, but the process is daunting and can sometimes take years to receive an answer, which oftentimes in our case has been denials. It took over two years to get a safe bed approved through insurance and close to the same amount of time to get a bus-safe wheelchair for Wren to go to school safely.
