Morgan’s battle with Cancer

Please Note: The $65,000 on the page that was raised was all paid to Morgan’s medical bills last year, this is not what Kyla has received. Any donation above the amount listed above will be going to Kyla.

On Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at 2:20 a.m., Morgan passed away at home, with loved ones at his side, and, of course, his cats. He has moved on to his next great adventure!    Morgan made it very clear in the months before his passing that he did not want to have a funeral, memorial service, or anything of that nature. There will be no tears, just laughter… If you close your eyes for a moment and just listen, you will hear his laugh. If you got him laughing hard enough, you can hear him wheezing with laughter!   Since there will be no service for all of you who knew him, I would ask you to post a funny story… how you met, an adventure you had, or just happy memories of your time with Morgan. We can all acknowledge Morgan's passing in a positive way.    The last thing I ask of you is to join us in helping support his wife, Kyla.    He fought a good fight for two years, and thanks to so many of you for helping him financially, he was able to be given the treatment that provided him with more time with us and created more memories for us to look back on.   When Morgan was no longer able to work, he received a small amount of disability payments, which is how they survived month to month.   Now, with Morgan gone, Kyla is in a challenging situation. No life insurance pays out, and no assistance is available. She must now cover the costs all by herself: rent, utilities, car payments, food, etc.    So, this is where I ask all of you amazing, wonderful family and friends to help me one more time.    Join me in supporting Kyla through this final part. On Halloween, October 31, 2022, my brother Morgan went in to see the doctor for some dizziness that had been bothering him for a few weeks, and we assumed it was from a virus we were getting over.

The Doctor took an MRI of his head and found that Morgan has five large masses in his brain and was sent straight to the ER. The next day we received the most shocking news, my brother Morgan has Stage 4 Colon Cancer that has spread to his liver, lung, and brain.

Since my brother Morgan is uninsured at this time, it took much work on his wife Kyla’s part to get him in to see an Oncologist, apply for medical insurance and get him the treatment he needs.

Morgan’s Medical insurance will not kick in till January 2023, but Morgan’s Oncologist would not wait as Morgan must get the treatment he needs right away. Morgan stated his targeted Radiation on November 29, 2022.

This is the reason for the Go Fund Me account. The treatment he needs will cost him $25,000.00 for just one month, plus the money owed to the hospital, CT scans, MRIs, bloodwork, Medication costs, and loss of income for both Morgan and his wife, Kyla. I am asking for $50,000.00 to get my brother Morgan the treatment he needs and future costs that will add up. Please note that Kyla has applied to many non-profit cancer treatment centers, and unfortunately they are overwhelmed with applicants, and no funding is available to Morgan.

We know Morgan has a long journey ahead of him, Radiation, Chemotherapy, Surgeries, and so much more, but he has his amazing wife Kyla right by his side, plus the support of his whole family, his mother, father, sisters, sister in laws, brother in laws, mother-in-law, nieces, and nephews and so many friends.

Morgan is an amazing guy! Very funny, intelligent, and full of movie trivia. He is also a hard worker and has donated his time through the years to many non-profits and volunteer work.

Morgan and his wife Kyla have been married for 16 years and are the most amazing uncle and aunt to their nieces and nephews, Morgan is a kid at heart, and the children all love to spend time with him, playing games, watching movies, or just talking about comics.
