Spreading Gods Love in Africa

Donation protected
I am so excited about what God is doing in my life.  I have strived to love and serve others wherever I am and live missionly daily. I am ready to take the next step to serve abroad. I feel God has been preparing me for missions my whole life. It has taken me a while to answer his call. After graduating from college and working with Carnival Cruise Lines, I have had the opportunity to meet and work with people from all over the world. It has opened my eyes to the things I take for granted growing up in small town Texas.
While working on the ship, I had the opportunity to share with others what God has done and is doing in my life. I also shared my desire to spread God’s love to other parts of the world that have not had the opportunities that I have. As it turned out I also came into contact with passengers who were missionaries themselves. As we began to talk, they would share with me their own experiences. I realized that the need is great and those that are willing to go are few. I began to really listen to God’s calling in my life. Many have asked me, “Why you?” My answer has always been, “Why not?”

Isaiah 6:8- "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, Here am I. Send me!"

I first began sharing my desires about missions to my parents while I was in college. They have always been supportive of my desire to share God’s love to others. I must admit that it has taken a while for them to warm up to the idea of me leaving the comforts that I have and travel to the other side of the world. I know that it may not be what they had envisioned for me. I have been researching Mozambique, and the needs of the children in that country.

Mark 16:15- "And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."

I feel that God has provided me with the support to begin my journey and will open the doors for me to fulfill my commitment to help meet the needs of these children. I am excited to be a part of His plan as I step out in faith. I feel that prayer and passion are the first steps in my journey. My first trip will be for 3 months. I will be staying at the Maforga Christian Mission in Mozambique.  I will be volunteering at an Orphanage.  I hope that you will begin praying for me as I will leave on April 5th. I will keep you updated via face-book any opportunity that I have. If you feel you would like to be a part of this ministry opportunity, I would appreciate any prayers or financial contributions to support my journey.
GOD BLESS YOU!
Love,
