Morgan Sierra College Gift - In Memory of Ellen

Last week, we lost an amazing human being and friend. Despite our collective sadness, Ellen would be happy that so many of her high school and college friends have reconnected this week to celebrate her spirit.
Ellen was a beautiful and powerful ray of light. She touched so many lives with her thoughtfulness, positivity and strength. And Ellen was fun! She was the life of a party, master road trip organizer, music aficionado, skilled soccer-mate and late night study partner.
Ellen was also a consummate student who worked tirelessly to earn her degrees, starting with an undergraduate degree in Biology from Mary Washington College and followed by advanced study at The University of Virginia School of Nursing and The University of California - San Francisco earning a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership.
Ellen leaves behind a 17 year old daughter, Morgan. Just like her mother, Morgan is a spirited, beautiful, kind and intelligent young woman. Morgan is currently a senior in high school preparing for college. Anyone privy to Ellen’s Instagram feed can feel her pride and heart-busting love for Morgan.
Many of you have expressed a desire to do something in support of Ellen’s memory and family.
Education was so important to Ellen. On behalf of Ellen’s friends and with her family’s blessing, we have organized this GoFundMe to help contribute to Morgan’s future and next chapter in life. We know Ellen would never expect contributions, but express sincere gratitude for your support.
