UPDATE November: I am ONE step away from spine surgery! I just need to do the 10-day trial, and then I will get the actual surgery! I also lost access to my food stamps…
Hello everyone, my name is Morgan. I’ve been chronically ill since 2019 and I had to move back home in April of 2022 due to my worsening health. I have numerous chronic illnesses that make me physically unable to work & I still have not been approved for SSI or SSDI. So I desperately need financial help.
My diagnoses include: spondyloarthritis (an autoimmune spine disease), postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome, fibromyalgia, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, as well as ADHD, MDD (depression), and more.
Shorthand, my diagnoses go as follows: SpA, POTs, hEDS, Fibro, PCOS, Endo, IBS, etc.
I’m 27 years old now, barely making ends meet. Actually… I don’t even “make ends meet.” My mom is a special education teacher & she does EVERYTHING she can to help me. But a teacher’s salary isn’t enough to pay for the cost of living for both my mom & I, and for my medical bills / costs.
We’re struggling… We need help… I’ve been denied disability benefits (in Missouri) countless times. But I’m still continuing to fight for them. Appealing denials & reapplying when necessary takes forever. It’s a very slow process and I still haven’t been approved.
I physically can’t work due to all of the symptoms I experience from my chronic illnesses. I can’t even shower more than 1-3 times a month or sit up through an entire movie! Basic tasks are difficult to do, so there’s no way I can work.
I need financial assistance… I have around $7000 USD in medical debt from my past surgeries & other treatments (medications, physical therapy, pain management, braces, spine injections, etc). The extra $3,000 would help cover monthly expenses: food, gas, cat supplies, personal hygiene supplies, just the cost of living in general, etc.
Please help / donate if you can. And if you can’t help financially? Please *at least* share my story. Thank you!
