School staff across the state of Arizona are in the midst of a battle with the Governor and Legislature to restore over $1 billion dollars in funding that has been systematically taken away over the past 10 years. We also want competitive school salaries for ALL SCHOOL STAFF. The Governor refuses to meet with our leaders (Arizona Educators United, Arizona Education Association) and instead sent out a press release and a tweet to inform us of his intentions. Many staff at our school that have been supporting our movement are starting to feel economic pressure but refuse to back down. They have been borrowing money from family members just to buy groceries and other basic necessities. Please help us help our staff with donations so we can buy them gift cards to grocery stores.
