Urgent Update
LazyPaw is a family business serving the families and pets of Frisco and the surrounding communities. As you know our owners, Julaine Hunter and Brent Bilhartz, have been married for 26 years and have two children, Morgan (18) and Molly (15).
The Hunter-Bilhartz family and our extended LazyPaw family have been under tremendous strain lately due to an illness. We appreciate your patience and understanding with their schedule and limited availability. See Dr. B's statement below.
From Julaine Hunter and Brent Bilhartz,
Our oldest daughter, Morgan Bilhartz, was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer on December 1. Julaine and I have been in ICU with her since. We are in the fight of our lives. Morgan is extremely sick with a life threatening disease.
Morgan grew up around the clinic, everyone who works here knows her and many of you have met her, especially during Santa pictures. She has trimmed your pets nails, she has babysat for you, she's been a soccer teammate, a gymnastics coach and a buddy at school.
We apologize for our distractions and the new veterinary faces you've seen lately. I personally apologize to you all that came in and I hid behind the door. We’ve always been friendly and joked about our kids, I can’t say certain words outloud and I knew I couldn’t fake being chatty about family. That is why I hid in the treatment area and didn’t come say hello. Once our family crisis has passed we will get back to normal.
In the meantime, those of you who are prayerful and spiritual we ask for prayers of healing. Please pull out all the stops in your prayers, drop to your knees, jump up and down, light a candle or sit quietly, please whatever it takes.
We are fighting for her young life, Morgan-Renee Judith Bilhartz
