It was the day after my son Steve’s 5th Birthday party. With his room full of gifts and house full of family and our family dog Manchas, a fire engulfed our home. Most of my family was in church on Sunday morning 01/26/2020, except for me and my 1 & 5 year old sons and our dog. I did not hear the alarm as it was on the other side of the house while I was playing with my children. I thought I smelled smoke so I walked to the other room, and reached for the door knob and instantly burned my hand. I watched in shock as the ceiling fell to the ground and the flames took over and started spreading. I ran to my kids to make sure they were safe and got their shoes and jackets on. I went back for Manchas but it was too late, I tried everything I could. It turns out there was an electrical fire and the inside of the house was completely destroyed, along with all of our belongings, clothes, toys and beloved family dog Manchas. Our family now has nothing and no where to live. We are asking for donations of any kind to help us through this tragic loss.
