Moreno Family Hurricane Harvey Fund

My name is Chris DuRee and I am from Long Beach, CA., I have been good friends with Irma and Rolando Moreno and their entire family for the last 8 years.
We all saw the devastation that Hurricane Harvey caused on the city of Houston. My good friends, the Moreno family live in East Houston, TX. Hurricane Harvey caused massive flooding to their community and as a result, their home flooded. Water was at the 3 foot mark throughout their home, destroying everything.
They just recently got to see their home to find out all furniture and personal belongings that were left in the apartment were destroyed from the flood water. The flooring and walls are currently in the process of being prepared, but nothing can replace their belongings at the moment. They had renters insurance, but it will NOT cover the flood damage.
Rolando works for a chemical company in Houston, and has not been able to work since August 25th. Irma is currently getting ready for her next round of treatment for cancer in October. Together they have 2 kids at home that they are amazing parents to- Darwin, 12 and Darlene, 15.
They need to be able to re-furnish their home, including beds for them and the kids, living room furniture, dressers, etc. Also they need to buy all new clothes since the flood waters destroyed everything in dressers and closets. Rolando has been out of work for 2 weeks so this is effecting them as well monetarily and they are now backed up on other bills too.
During the hurricane Rolando was a huge organizer in his community to help those in needs. He participated in rescues and helped to get a church to open itself up for those with no place to go. He consistently did LIVE feeds online to tell people where they could go for help and to warn people where not to go. He did all this knowing what his family had lost, and just wanted to help others.
Please help this amazing family. They are wonderful people, who lost their possessions but not their courage and compassion. They put so many people first, now we need to make them a priority and help them get back on their feet. Rolando will be the main benificiary set on this campaign to withdraw all funds raised. Thank you!
