More Than a Game, a 501(c)(3), Enlists athletes to Unite, Educate, and Empower communities.
This November, More Than A Game will be traveling to Hilo, Hawaii to rebuild two baseball fields located at the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Island. Work will include resurfacing both infields, rebuilding benches and bleachers, replacing rusted roofs, and painting back stops and dugouts to ensure the kids have a safe place to play baseball. In addition to field reconstruction, More Than A Game will be hosting free instructional baseball clinics throughout the week for the kids in the community. Mitch Haniger of the Seattle Mariners and Mike Miller of the Boston Red Sox will be leading the project, working to inspire the kids to follow their dreams and become the leaders of tomorrow.
Funds collected through this campaign will go towards covering the cost of this project...which includes equipment & materials( dirt, benches, bleachers, roofing & paint,) monetary costs for clinics, & travel & accommodations .
