More Miracles for Jeff's Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Vicki and my husband Jeff Petroske recently experienced three hospital stays in two weeks. Jeff suffered two ischemic strokes, a hemorrhagic stroke, hematoma and blood clots, and also needs surgery to repair the hole in his heart, one emergency helicopter ride, and an ambulance ride. He is 59 and was in great health, never had to be on medications, and then the rug was pulled out from under him.

Most people would be dead or severely disabled. Jeff is truly a walking, talking miracle! He walks around, carrying his walker. His speech is pretty good, worse when fatigued. He is weak in his right arm/hand, but able to operate his phone. The last night in the hospital, he was giving his nurse golf tips and even jumped out of bed to show the proper swing! The docs and other medical professionals are in awe and amazement because of how well he is doing. He will do speech therapy in the future, but they are booked out until mid-August. Physical therapy can be done on his own at home, and in the pool.

Your prayers worked, are working, miracles DO happen, and we received them with God's amazing grace!! Thank you.

Keep the prayers coming for no more setbacks or hospitalizations, also for our financial needs. It will take some time before short term disability kicks in and so we have an immediate need of funds to cover our responsibilities (approx. $1600/month), and then to pay the mountain of medical bills, and extra services needed. His last paycheck is in less than 2 weeks. Jeff has been my caregiver for the last ten years, while working full time. We will need to pay people for many things he was able to do before the strokes. God has met our need in the past, like 10 years ago when I became disabled, and the insurance took more than a year. Because of the charity of friends and family, things did not spiral into bankruptcy, and I was able to afford treatment.

Before the strokes, Jeff was at the top of his game at work and in golf. He was golfing 3 under par with a club head speed like that of a 20 something golfer. Jeff is a golf instructor, and master club fitter, and has a contract with Wilson Golf. Jeff also taught post-stroke patients to improvise their swings and get back into the game.

Please help Jeff so financial need does not have to be first on his mind. Please help Jeff get back into the game!!!!
