I’ve had the honor of knowing Max Bozeman for over thirty years, but—unfortunately—this year I’m not throwing him a birthday party, I’m starting a GoFundMe instead. 

We recently found out Max has been diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of prostate cancer. Unlike your garden-variety prostate cancer, it’s already metastasized and is in Stage 4-B. What’s that mean? It means it’s a 5-alarm fire and Max needs our support to get well.

Maybe you met Max at a Waldorf School function with his kids, or on a bike trail, or at a yoga class, at a mens gathering or on a hike on top of a mountain, or even putting in overtime on the set.

Maybe you met Max in his early years in the middle of the pit, or at the bar, or in the midst of some other shenanigans. You may have also noticed how much he has grown and changed over the years. After his thrashing and trashing days, Max gave time to support others, particularly men, to begin to get in touch with themselves and their own emotional healing.

Whether you know him as a brother, parent, partner, mentor, or co-conspirator, we can all agree Max needs to keep thriving, perspiring, and inspiring us all to be better humans.

We need your help. Please dig deep - like he was standing right next to you. Turns out insurance isn’t gonna cover the treatment Max’ll be getting. We’re hoping these funds will help cover, not only the treatment, but some of the travel and coordination that’ll be necessary to get him there and the herculean task of covering that mountain of bills while the Bozeman-family-breadwinner is battling to triumph over adversity.
