Our Story

We're More In Common  .  A [budding organization] that is the brain child of our co-founders Rodney and Keith .  We believe people matter and that we are all nurtured by the same things and we’re dependent upon each other. 
 
Through many (17+) years of having conversations that "matter", covering topics from gay marriage, religion/beliefs, gun rights, the constitution, and many more, we realized that we're able to have these often emotionally charged and divisive conversations with calm and poise.  This realization spurred us to figure out how. 

We do not believe the world today is a terrible place.  We think people need help navigating the new challenges in it,  so we can get to a place of mutual respect. And with the influx of social media, we just believe there is a lack of practice and effective tooling to help better communicate and connect 

And this isn’t just about political topics or divisive social issues.  It’s about all the situations in life that elicit emotional or charged responses.  We are building a formula to help people hone their communication skills in an effort to improve connection…with loved ones…strangers and everyone in between.

Enter More In Common Podcast.  The podcast allows us to demonstrate our ability to navigate conversation, learn how others navigate them, actually discuss things that we think matter, build our framework, and challenge ourselves and others to think.  In other words - Expose, Evaluate, Evolve.

In each episode we provide a comfortable and safe space to have open, honest, and insightful conversations that matter.

We've created training and other content to help with Connection and Communication that will be the cornerstone to our book, our consulting and everything else we do to provide easily digestible tips for others to improve connection and communication.

We are currently in the process of breaking out of the chrysalis. This process has taught us there is more we'd like to do.  As we transform from just a podcast into a social enterprise we could use your help.

Why
- Our goal is to double our podcast output.  Instead of 2 episodes per month, we want to have  4 or weekly.  To do this we need some help with editing, Content creation, production, etc..
- We have also formed a new company.  We consult Tech firms on how to foster connection and conversation.  
- As we grow both organizations we need to build a team so we can scale. 

How funds will be used
- Increase episode release to 1 per week
-Improve audio quality, better editing [update equipment, hire editor]
-Build a team to help us scale our process and increase our reach so we can create more content
-Build our consulting organization

Timeline
We are giving this 30 days.  Things are moving fast so we are responding in kind.  This campaign will officially end June 6th, 2019.
