Mora's emergency medical fund

Hi,

I'm Alaina, my husband Mateo and I recently adopted a rescue puppy and named her Mora, which means blackberry in Spanish. She is a border collie mix and we absolutely adore her. She is the most playful, sweet, cuddly, lively dog I've ever met. Recently, she was playing at the park with a stick in her mouth when she tripped and it impaled her in the throat.

She required intensive care and a hospital stay that easily maxed out our pet insurance and has left us with a really high bill.

I work full time as a nurse, and my husband as a PT. We are just starting to save for a family and a future. Luckily, we have some emergency funds but are asking for any generous support from the community to help us face the extremely high bills our vet has quoted us with to come.

Funds will go first directly to cover the cost of her medical care which exceeded $7,000.

Update: Mora is home and stable! She suffered damage to her airway and esophagus and is on a lot of pain medication and antibiotics but has a good prognosis.
