To those who know him, our grandfather, Antonio Morales, is a pillar of strength and the backbone of our family. He is a man we admire greatly, and strive to embody. He is hardworking, a cherished great grandfather, parent, and truly loved husband. But as we get older the strongest among us can face unexpected trials.

For the past decade our grandfather has lived with Parkinson's disease, a disorder that affects his nervous system. Over the years, the disease has gotten extremely worse and has tremendously limited his independence. Living with Parkinson's disease challenges his daily life routine and disrupts his golden years.

As a family we are still continuing to learn how to best support him during this time and build the finest care plan. Due to this disorder a comprehensive care plan is crucial. He needs assistance with transportation in his day to day activities. He also requires constant monitoring by a neurologist to optimize his treatment plan, a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, and a home health aide.

Our grandfather has brought joy and guidance to our family for decades. But as he navigates the challenges of aging and Parkinson's disease, his need for home aid has grown. Unfortunately, the rising costs of in-home care are surpassing our family's resources.
