The Strikers FC North family suffered a devastating loss Thursday afternoon. Jesus Morales, father of Strikers FC North B99 goalkeeper, Luis Morales, sadly passed away after suffering from a heart attack and spending 10 days in the hospital battling for his life. All our thoughts and prayers go out to this amazing, committed, loyal and loving family.
Jesus loved to come and watch his son Luis play but he was always a complete, nervous wreck. At times he could not even bare to watch the games and you would find him walking nervously away from the field. Fortunately for Jesus, his son is an outstanding goalkeeper and gave him very little to be concerned about during our games.
The picture above was taken after the team won the Regional title this year in Idaho. The Morales family is as genuine as they come and my own children adored playing with their youngest daughter, Lupita on the trip in Idaho. Jesus has left the world way too soon as well as unexpectedly, what we need to do now is help the family in any way possible. Jesus was the sole provider for the family and the next few weeks, months and years are going to be extremely tough for them.
Jesus and his wife Carmen have always worked hard to provide for their family and although they didn't have much, they made every effort to give their children opportunities. Such was the case when the entire family took the trip to Idaho to watch the Striker boys play Regionals.
Always living paycheck to paycheck this family is put in a difficult situation now with Medical expenses, Funeral cost and daily living weighing down heavily on the family.
Jesus leaves his legacy with wife Carmen, son Luis (17), as well as daughters Maria Carmen (15) and Lupita (5).
With such young kids and such an unexpected loss, it can be difficult not only the kids, but especially the wife. We are going to do everything in our power as a team, club and community to give them as much help as we can, whether it be emotional support or financial help.
Any donations would be appreciated as the money will go directly to help with all expenses pertaining to the family. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
