Morale Boosting 4 Our Cadets

Morale Boosting Campaign for USAFA CS-12, The Dirty Dozen
In an effort to support our cadets in CS-12 we are currently accepting donations for the following:
1. Weekly Meals for all cadets in CS-12 for the following 5 weeks:
Week of November 8th, November 15th, November 22nd, November 29th, and December 6th.
2. Swag Boxes for each cadet in CS-12 delivered to USAFA between Thanksgiving week and finals week. Each box will continue 12 items for our Dirty Dozen cadets meant to encourage them and boost their morale as winter break approaches.
My son and I have had long talks about the need for morale-boosting among the cadets at USAFA as the stress level rises, a Thanksgiving away from home occurs and finals for the semester are quickly approaching. There is nothing that says support like a great meal that feeds the belly and the spirit and a box of goodies from someone who cares about you!
He spoke with the MWR senior in the squadron, and was told he could be the CIC/POC (Cadet in Charge/Point of Contact) for this endeavor to boost morale in the above manner. Our family is honored to spearhead this endeavor.
My son will be making arrangements for delivery of the food I order each week for our sons and daughters, and I will make all arrangements for the food (and negotiate prices with local restaurants in the area) so that we can get some good nutrition into their bodies over the next 5 weeks.
I will also take care of the sourcing, packaging, and shipping of the swag boxes to a local contact in COS with Academy grounds access, to deliver the swag boxes to our squadron and my son will make sure it is picked up and distributed to each cadet.
I am grateful for whatever each family can contribute to the above project. It will not be inexpensive - but whatever is lacking in our fundraising, I will make sure we have enough to do the above so that each of our sons and daughters feels all of our love, support and encouragement from our homes and hearts to them at USAFA.
Anticipated costs are as follows:
$12 per cadet per meal x 5 meals = $1404 per week = $7,020 for 5 weeks
$15 per swag box per cadet x 117 cadets = $1755 total plus s/h to COS
Total campaign is for $8,500
Please feel free to share with your family and friends as they may also want to contribute to supporting your son or daughter in these final weeks of 2020. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
