Hi, my name is Joshua Raffell and I am an artist. I am lucky enough to be an artist in residence at SPUDWORKS in the New Forest in September 2025. My work focuses on the stories and lives of ordinary people living in areas that are extremely affluent. Many of those people are dependent on foodbanks to get by each day. I am creating an artpiece called 'Moral Screams' because I think we should all be screaming that people, often working people, cannot afford to put food on the table.

So, rather than travel to the residency by bus and train, I will be walking from my home on the Isle of Wight to SPUDWORKS in Sway raising awareness, money and having some fun along the way. Look out for the Moral Screams Ice Cream Van as it is walked throught Newport, over the Downs, across the sea, and through the forest.

The funds will be equally distributed to Isle of Wight Foodbank, Love Ln, Cowes PO31 7ET and Waterside Foodbank, 93-195 Hampton Ln, Blackfield, Southampton SO45 1XA.
