The Evans Exoneration Project or T.E.E.P was founded out of compassion for individuals that have been incarcerated and maintain their innocence. Since the project's inception in 2011, Attorney Demitrus Evans has held steadfast to the mission of providing wrongfully convicted and incarcerated individuals and their families with the help they need.
Every week The Evans International Law Firms recieves five to ten letters arrive to our organization's doorstep from wrongfully incarcerated inmates seeking guidance and help to exonerate them from their wrongful convictions.
When they do, we assist with their legal defense and work tirelessly to free them from the bonds of justice by partnering with like-minded individuals; and compassionate organizations to provide the best legal assistance with the hopes of freeing them at long last.
The inmates that contact us need help with a number of legal matters ranging from gathering DNA evidence, reviewing case law, hiring experts, contacting state officials, creating press releases, and filing appeals - which alone costs $10,000. As they are unable to work and are in a compromised position - we seek to give them a hand up and provide these services at no; or little cost to them and their loved ones.
