Moose’s Emergency Surgery and Hospital Stay
I was coming home from a trip when I got an emergency message that Moose, my sweet dog of 11 years, had been taken urgently to the hospital. Which no pet parent ever wants to hear. He ended up having “Bloat” where his stomach had flipped and twisted onto itself decreasing blood flow. Luckily my friend Mallory got him to the Vet fast enough for them to open him up to do emergency surgery. After the shock of the surgery his heart kept going into bad rhythms requiring continuous IV medicine and heart monitors. After 4 days puppy ICU care, though weak, he is finally able to come home. Moose is 11 years and has been at my side ever since he was a lumpy puppy.
As a full time grad student I did not anticipate having an almost $6,000 bill nor prepare so I think I went into a bad heart rhythm when I saw it. I am asking if anyone can help, even a small amount, to donate to help me with Moo’s bill. It’d mean the world to a very stressed pet dad and healing Moo.
Thank you,
Bean and Moo
