Moose's Post-Amputation Accessibility & Mobility

Donation protected
Many of you know my brother Chris Forbes (Moose). He is diabetic and had been battling an infection in his foot for well over a year (likely longer without even knowing it). Unfortunately, the infection progressed, and on October 2nd my brother had to undergo an amputation of his foot.

Even though this isn’t ideal, I want to make the point that although the infection won the battle, my brother is fighting the war. One could see it as him losing a foot, but I like to say he is losing an infection. And gaining a healthier future.

There is still a road of recovery ahead. And much love and care is needed to help my brother traverse that road. There are many costs to getting his accessibility and mobility in place over the next few months, including some modifications to his home for safety, a pedal adaptor for his car to allow him to drive with his left foot, and ultimately a prosthetic that will get him active and keep him healthy. Please find it in your hearts to send healing thoughts, loving prayers, and donations (any amount helps) his way!

Thank you for your generous hearts,
Brandy

P.S. I personally want to see him doing yoga and rock climbing and hiking in his future--oh and tailgating (which is why I chose the photo). What activities do you want to share with him once he is back on his "feet"?
