Moose Needs Our Help.

Close friends and family of Moose (Greg) Christie are asking for your help to support Moose as he navigates some health and personal issues that have sprung up over the last few months.

We all know Moose.

Whether you met him as a St. Albans City Councilor or Fairfield Selectboard member as he volunteered his time to help steer his community and support his neighbors, were one of his students when he worked in a variety of positions in our schools, saw him volunteering at a local event – or, as many of us have known him best, serving drinks and solving problems from behind the bar – Moose has always been willing to help.

And now it’s time for us to pay his generosity of spirit forward.

As mentioned above, Moose has been dealing with some unexpected health issues and the bills that come along with them. He also is in the market for a safe, reliable, used vehicle to help him get to medical appointments and to work.

Moose would never ask for any assistance on his own, and we all know that in 2024, too many people are looking for a free ride or a handout. But we also know that Moose has spent his entire life in service to others.

He’s the guy that picked up the kid for school whose parents couldn’t; took time to check on a friend who was going through a rough patch; listened to a stranger’s problems when they needed someone to talk to. Moose is the first to offer a hand, or a kick in the ass, depending on what you need.

He was there on some of our best nights out, made sure we got home safe, and never judged us the next morning.

There are hundreds of folks out there reading this who can relate, so if you’re one of them, please chip in what you can to help boost up Moose and get him back on his feet.
