#MoorePrayers for Wylder
Donation protected
Wylder is a very active 9 year old boy. Him and his twin brother, Westen, love all things sports and anything outdoors. He also has straight A's and does very well in school. On April 26, 2023, Wylder was involved in an ATV accident and his right leg was severely injured when he was pinned under the ATV. He was taken to a local hospital then transported to Cook Children's in Fort Worth due to the severity of the injury. He underwent a long four and a half hour surgery the next morning. External fixation was placed to hold the fractured bone together- internal fixation was not an option due to risk of infection due to the open wound. He will undergo another surgery in three days to treat/prevent infection, and then will be required to have another surgery sometime in the future to inhibit proper bone healing. We are so grateful that Wylder is expected to have a full recovery, but we know it is going to be a long road. His parents are local business owners (roofing company) and therefore do not have the routine employee benefits that would pay for time off of work. There will also be large medical expenses and the cost of traveling over two hours away to the hospital he is in (not to mention the stressors of being away from their other children). If you feel like you would like to donate, it is a worthy cause for a family that is always volunteering their time for this community.
