On the 28th August a group of 6 fine specimens from Warrington will attempt to complete the iconic Sea to Sea (C2C) in aid of Moore United FC and St Roccos Hospice.
The targeted route will take us 140 miles between the Irish Sea and the North Sea, from Whitehaven, Cumbria to Tynemouth passing through the northern Lake District before climbing the Pennines and descending to the rolling hills and railway paths of County Durham.
We aim to complete the challenge over 3 days, unaided, massively under prepared, and sustaining performance on a diet of pub food, chocolate and copious amounts of local ales.
This challenge will undoubtably prove to be a test of stamina, mental strength and pure will power, but furthermore whether the 6 of us can survive each other’s company for 3 days and nights. This could prove to be bigger than the challenge itself, only time will tell.
