Moonlight Ode
A raw, profound experimental short. Female protagonist “I”discovers, connects to and embraces her powerful gift as a channel to the metaphysical realm. A task of accepting. A rough ride from a sandy beach, black lava landscape to a green mountain top on the mystical Island Gran Canaria. The electromagnetic fields of this island are so strong that they are called the most powerful in the world. A place for and a story of true transformation. What has been deeply hidden, witchcraft and cosmic connection are finally coming to fruition. Light is brought into the darkness.

Directors statement:
For centuries, women have been persecuted for their gifts in a patriarchal society. A lot has changed and evolved, yet the history of witch persecution is still in our ancestral lineage and DNA. Elin's deep work in reconnecting to her authenticity has revealed her essential nature as a channeler. The discovery forced her to work through conditioning and subconscious fears in order to fully accept her nature. In this film, she lets her nature speak. She portrays a realization of connection between past and present, humanity and the celestial. An opening for hidden treasures and a navigation beyond earthly limitations.
Biography:
Elin grew up in a rural area of the west coast of Norway. A formative experience she continues to embody in her art. In her work, she’s exploring communication through language of the soul. She started her new and purposeful artistic path of combining content creating, acting and channeling with the short “Voice of September”. The film got an Honorable mention laurel for its vision and the film’s unique contribution to Cinema at the film festival LA Underground Forum and Cine Pobre Film Festival 2024.

Alice Millar
Elin’s favorite cinematographer of all time. She has an extraordinary eye for details and the beauty of nature. Alice and Elin are continuing the wonderful collaboration from "Maid Mother Crone", a short film/pilot for the future feature project written, directed and performed by Elin, Rebecca Palmer and Rosetta Drenth.
Cast:
Inger Berit Grøtterud
Inger and Elin worked together for the first time in the Norwegian episode of the award winning web series “Strings Attached”. The episode “The Raven” is written by Inger who also had the lead role. The past year they have explored and worked closely together with channeling in both their unique ways. In this film, Inger will use intuitive dance as her expression.

Florentine and Elin met through an online acting program, tobeornottoact, JoKelly, where they got to witness each other evolve as actors, creators and human beings through live videos and zoom calls. All while living in different countries. This is their first project together. Florentine will be an important resource as a citizen of Gran Canaria, a wonderful person and creative.

Liv and Elin met when they both performed in the theatre production “Helter” at Haugesund Teater, one of the Norwegian institutional theatres. Liv provided a crucial moral and heartfelt support in the process of making “Voice of September” and will continue to be an important assistant on this adventurous ride of making “Moonlight Ode”.

Anette Haave Åsheim
Anette and Elin met in acting school years ago. Anette is an intuitive soul with a degree in film scoring from Berklee College of Music. She created the music for "Maid Mother Crone". Elin is a big fan of her work and is thrilled to continue the collaboration.
