hi y'all! Im Vee/Moon/Moonflower, I'm a afroqueer filmmaker, writer, poet, and teacher from Philly. Many of you know me through various work that centers black queer & trans people, advocating for our stories, and organizing around film and poetry as tools for care, creation, and community.

Right now, I'm asking for $4,600 to help cover 3 months of missed rent and bills. My landlord has recently made threats of Eviction, and if I can provide them with some form of major payment, then that process gets avoided all-together.

Some context: At the top of this year, I was let go from what would've been my 4-year-long job as Assistant Director of Programs/Curator at Large at a small film & arts non-profit. During the Spring, I was able to stay afloat by doing Ubereats and a with a last-minute gig working as a Adjunct Professor at a college. I was also crowdfunding then for daily needs, and with the support of friends and strangers made it out. Since then, I've had one small seasonal gig and have waiting to start another, but with no start date in sight, it's just been me and my weekly unemployment benefits; unfortunately, I'm now at a point where it's too urgent & the cost is too high. So, I'm asking for help.
