**Title: Help Chloe and Moonflower 3 Sail Again After Hurricane Beryl**
**Story:**
Dear Friends and Supporters,
My name is Emma, long term Moonflower and good friend of Chloe. She is in "Need", so I am here to ask for your help. Chloe made it through Hurricane Beryl alive, and thankfully without injuries. However, her home, Moonflower 3 has not been so lucky.
Chloe Need, the dedicated owner and operator of the beloved Moonflower 3 sailing boat, needs our help. After Hurricane Beryl swept through Carriacou, Chloe and her vessel found themselves stranded in the unforgiving mangroves. For years, Chloe has been a pillar of our sailing community, offering not just lessons but a warm, welcoming atmosphere where countless individuals have learned and grown, chasing their dreams across the Atlantic.
Now, it’s our turn to lend a hand to Chloe when she needs it most. Moonflower 3 requires significant repairs to sail again. First and foremost, we need to get her out of the mangroves, a challenging task that requires expertise and resources. Once she’s back on the water, Moonflower 3 needs new rigging, a mast replacement, and all the stainless steel fittings renewed. Additionally, the vessel’s rudder needs to be replaced due to storm damage.
To compound these challenges, opportunistic looters have struck, stealing the outboard engine from Daisy-Mae, Chloe’s dinghy. This theft has left Chloe without a means to access Moonflower 3, making the restoration efforts even more difficult.
**Your Support Matters:**
Chloe’s impact extends far beyond sailing lessons; she’s helped individuals achieve their lifelong dreams of ocean crossings and exploration. Now is our chance to show our gratitude and support for all she’s given us.
Your donation will directly contribute to:
1. **Rescuing Moonflower 3** from the mangroves.
2. **Replacing essential components** like rigging, mast, stainless steel fittings, and the rudder.
3. **Recovering from theft** by securing a new outboard engine for Daisy-Mae.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in Chloe’s journey to restore Moonflower 3. Let’s come together as a community to help Chloe get back on her feet and back on the water where she belongs.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support during this challenging time. Together, we can ensure that Chloe and Moonflower 3 sail again soon.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Emma.
