It is with heaviest of hearts that we share the sudden loss of Monyell Hedgmon Sr. on Friday, August 1st, 2025. His passing was completely unexpected, and he leaves behind four children, two grandchildren, and many loved ones who are now mourning his absence.

Monyell Jr., his oldest son, had recently relocated out of state with his partner and their two young children. Now, they face the difficult reality of making the journey home to be with family and say their goodbyes. We are reaching out for support to help cover their travel, hotel, and food expenses during this heartbreaking time. Any contribution will ease their financial burden and allow them to focus on healing and honoring Monyell Sr.’s memory together.

One of the greatest gifts we hold onto is that Sr. was able to visit his kids and meet his only granddaughter just before he passed—a precious moment we will cherish forever. We also remember him lovingly doing his grandson’s hair, simply enjoying being a grandpa.
