Dear Friends and Family,
I am starting this page for my dad Monty Smith. He is going through a very hard time right now after suffering a stroke on New Years Eve. My dad is such a loving and caring person and would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. Giving has always been important to him. He has helped sooo many people throughout his life and now is the time we can return the favor.
My mom doesn't know I am starting this page and I dont plan to tell her right away :) They were would never ask for help from anyone, but right now I know a finacial burden is in the back of their mind.
My dad is going to have a long road to recovery and I know that being able to financially help them pay for some of things he will need including care, would help them so much. Not to mention relieve some of the stress of medical bills. I know they will need to make some changes to their home to accomadate his condition.
He has been in the ICU for 5 days now and from there will need to be at a rehabilitation center for some time.. I think it is safe to say he will not be returning to work quiet some time if he able to return. We are hopeful he will make a full recovery someday.
If you would like to help my dad out, I know he would forever be greatful. God is soo good and he will always provide.
