Monty needs help!

£7,879 raised of £9.5K
465 donations
UPDATE:
after investigating initial costs from several clinics and speaking to many of you, we believe 9.5k is a better estimate for what it will cost for Monty’s total care and treatment. Funds beyond this will be used on specialist equipment if it comes to him needing a mobility walker etc. Any overage will be donated directly to the Red Foundation. Our heartfelt thanks for everyone that has donated. Your messages and help is getting through this incredibly tough time.
Right now, Monty needs his community of followers more than ever. We are writing to ask if you would consider donating to his GoFundMe page.
As you know over the past few days, Monty has been struggling with pain in his leg. The vets believe it appears to be a nerve issue in his neck. We’ve already spent several hundred pounds on two vet visits and pain relief, but we’re now facing the possibility of much more extensive diagnostics and treatment. An MRI could cost up to £3,000. If it turns out to be a neck-based nerve issue, the surgery could reach £5,000.
Sadly, Monty isn’t insured. That is our current situation and there’s nothing we can do to change that now. What we can do is focus on getting him the care he needs and staying hopeful for his recovery, however hard that may be.
If Monty has ever made you smile, brought a little peace to your day, or reminded you of the goodness in the world, we’re asking with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits for your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward Monty’s scans, treatment, and recovery.
We completely understand that not everyone agrees with using GoFundMe for vet bills. If that is your belief, you are entitled to that opinion and we kindly ask that you simply scroll past without judgment. But if you do feel moved to help, please know how deeply grateful we are. We are committed to being more active on his profile to keep you regularly updated and connected with Monty.
Thank you for your love, support, and positive thoughts during such an upsetting time. Monty means the world to us and, clearly, to many of you as well.
With love,
Jack, Yasmin and Monty
