Jose was a bit of a fixture around American Canyon for many years. Besides meeting people through his children, Bailey, Adriana and Katherine and their sports and schools, he was the local FedEx delivery driver for 5 years before he got too sick to work. On his route, he would make new friends and run into old ones on a regular basis. Everyone knows what a passionate fan he was of his children whenever and whatever sport they were playing. He was a self taught softball pitching coach who taught not only his daughters how to pitch, but would work with any girl who was willing to put in the effort to learn.
After he could no longer work, he threw himself into helping his kids be successful in college. Whether it was helping with homework or reminding the girls to send letters to college coaches, his goal was always for them to succeed in whatever they chose to pursue.
In everything Jose did, he was a fighter and in the end, he gave it everything he had, but he lost his fight. On Sunday, June 9th, our family has lost our anchor. He was an amazing father and a loving husband. A generous and passionate individual who touched so may lives and will be missed by each one.
