About Montufar
Montufar is a sibling-led musical project that began in 2019 as a creative collaboration between Marifer and Víctor. What started with the recording of our first song, "Ojos," quickly evolved into something much bigger. Its official release in 2021 marked the true beginning of our journey, capturing attention from both audiences and the media.
Since then, our growth has been steady and meaningful. We've played sold-out shows, built a loyal fanbase, and collaborated with incredible artists such as John Waugh (The 1975), Rodrigo Guardiola (Zoé), Evan Smith (Bleachers, Taylor Swift), and many others whose talent and experience have enriched our sound and vision. Now, in 2025, we’re at a pivotal moment in our career.

Why We're Here
This GoFundMe campaign is about taking the next big step: recording and releasing a new EP that captures who we are today—and who we’re becoming. We want to deepen our artistic identity, refine our sound, and reach wider audiences, all while staying true to the DIY spirit that brought us here.
We’re proud to be part of Varlian, the distribution agency supporting the release of our music across major platforms. With their backing and your support, we’re in a strong position to push our project further than ever before. Also, to make the process speed up a bit more, helps us to not be forgotten in this new era of music.
What Your Support Makes Possible
- Every contribution will go directly toward:
- Studio production and engineering
- Mixing and mastering
- Guest musician collaborations
- Visual content (photography, cover art, videos)
- Marketing and promotion
- Digital distribution
This EP isn’t just a milestone—it’s a launching point for everything that comes next. Your support will help us keep growing, keep evolving, and keep creating the music that means so much to us and our listeners.
Risks and Challenges
Every creative project comes with uncertainties—but we’re prepared. Here are the main challenges we might face and how we plan to handle them:
1. Scheduling Conflicts
Coordinating with producers, studios, and guest musicians can be complex. While delays are possible, we’ve already begun aligning schedules and built in buffer time to stay on track.
2. Creative Adjustments
As the songs evolve in the studio, some creative changes may naturally occur. We promise any changes will serve the music—and we’ll keep you updated with transparency throughout the process.
3. Budget Overruns
Even with careful planning, unexpected costs can arise. We’re keeping contingency funds in place and will prioritize spending to protect the core of the project: the music.
4. Platform + Distribution Issues
Digital release timelines can occasionally face platform-related hiccups. Being partnered with Varlian helps minimize this risk, but if anything changes, we’ll inform backers immediately.
Anything helps to keep this project afloat and get closer to our main goals! Thank you for your support and for listening!
