My name is Geisi, I am one of Montse's Manager. Our store team is raising money for Monste and her Mother's memorial expenses. On behalf of her store team we wanted to start this gofundme to help offset the memorial cost, living cost, and even some college fee's. Any donations would go great lengths for her.
Montse has been working for our store for almost two years now. Montse was balancing school and working part time to save up for college and help her mother. She attended Hillcrest High School and had just recently graduated this year. She is supposed to be starting up college this Fall.
When non essential businesses closed due to COVID-19, Montse was furloughed in March. She was one of the few associates that came back when our store began to slowly start opening back up in May. Shortly around Late May, Montse's mother, Maria, became ill and tested positive for COVID-19. As time passed by her condition worsened so much that she was hooked on a ventilator. For roughly a month Maria's condition wasn't getting any better. On August 14, 2020, she passed away due to the complications of COVID-19.
During this time Montse was also sick and out of work. Since Montse is the only child, she is currently staying with her only other family member, her aunt.
Losing a loved one, especially a parent is something that carries so much grief. She is hurting and mourning for her mother. Knowing that she won't be able to see her again nor create new beautiful moments together is disheartening. Due to COVID- 19 restrictions, Montse was not able to say her final goodbyes.
Montse has a heart of gold and not only is she full of grace but she is also very strong. We are all grieving for her loss.
Please keep Montse in your prayers.
