I am starting this go fund me account to help Kolten and his family while he undergoes treatment for his Leukemia. Instead of a one time donation I am asking each of you to pledge $10 (or more is so inclined) to be donated monthly for the next 12 months. This can be set up to come directly out of your checking account, debit card , whatever is easiest for you. For the cost of one fancy cup of coffee or a fast food meal you can help this family save their home and help meet their monthly expenses. As many of you know , Kolten was diagnosed with Leukemia on April 22, 2025. After months of aggressive treatment in San Antonio he was transferred to MD Anderson in September 2025. His mom , Alana, is a single mom who in addition to Kolten also has custody of her two grandchildren, one of which has type 1 diabetes. When the family moved to Houston , Alana lost her job and has been unable to work due to Kolten’s medical treatments. She has been fortunate in that she has received some temporary help with an apartment in Houston for them to stay in but meanwhile all the other bills keep piling up and she is in danger of losing her home. In addition there are other expenses that don’t stop just because someone is sick such as insurance , groceries , phone bill, etc. She has received help and is eternally grateful but more is needed. Kolten has undergone 8 rounds of chemo, soon to be 9 and is expected to be ready for his stem cell transplant after the first of the year. Once that is done he will remain hospitalized in isolation with his mom for quite some time then will require visits at least 3 times per week. It will be at least August or September before the family is able to return to the SA/Bandera area. We want to make sure they have a home to return to. It is my goal to have at least 400 people participate in this pledge. Individually it’s not much but together it is huge
