Monthly expenses & rehabilitation expenses

Hi, my name is Terry Lawlor. I’m fundraising due to a very serious injury I sustained July 14th. My partner and I went to find a beach not far from our house. We thought we had found the right path and unfortunately I slipped on some loose rock and overstretched my right hip joint. I’ve been back and forth to the hospital with excruciating pain. First they did an X-ray, nothing showed, then they did an ultrasound, which showed some joint effusion (Joint effusion (a swollen joint) happens when extra fluids flood the tissues around your joint). Finally I had a MRI and I’ve torn a lot of the muscles around the hip and I’m looking at an additional 4-6 weeks before improvement. I spent 5 visits back and forth to the health sciences before I could get an actual diagnosis. I currently can’t walk on my right leg without the use of a cane or walker. I’m hoping to start physiotherapy next week which will be another added expense.

Unfortunately I’m a self employed massage therapist with no insurance or short term disability. I debated a fundraiser such as this but this is sort of a last resort as I’ve exhausted every other avenue to try and stay on top of my monthly bills. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
