Monthly Expenses for Sarah Beth Tidwell
Many of you know that Sarah Beth lost her precious mom, Amy Tidwell, last year. To say that the past year has been a nightmare for her is an understatement. Her world was completely turned upside down when Amy passed away and she has spent the last year at the ages of 18 and 19 grieving the loss of her mom and trying to figure out how to move forward without her. Sarah Beth is a junior at Mississippi College and next month will be following in her mom’s footsteps by attending nursing school. Sarah Beth recently had to purchase a new car, as her old one was no longer safe for her to travel back and forth from Oxford to Jackson. With a new car comes higher car insurance. She also recently learned that her health insurance is no longer being paid for and also has the expense of her cell phone. These four items total almost $950 per month. When not in school, Sarah Beth lives with her Mimi (Susan Dempsey-Amy’s mom). Mimi has done what she can for Sarah Beth, but Mimi is on a fixed income and it has been a huge stretch for her. Sarah Beth has worked tirelessly this summer at a retail store and has also babysat, house sat, and done photography to earn money to pay her bills, but she hasn’t earned enough. I would love for her to not have to worry about finances during this next school year and to just be able to focus on school. I have no doubt that Sarah Beth will be just as incredible of a nurse as Amy was. I am asking all of you who knew Amy or know Sarah Beth and Susan or who may just be inclined to help a precious college student out, to contribute any amount you can to help Sarah Beth during this next year of school. It truly does take a village and I would love for Amy, Susan’s, and Sarah Beth’s village to step up and pitch in to help take care of this sweet, precious young woman who has already been through so much. If you’re wondering my connection to Sarah Beth, Sarah Beth has been Joslin’s best friend and my third daughter since forever. I can assure anyone who donates that every penny contributed will go directly to Sarah Beth.
Thank you for your consideration and God Bless,
Jennifer Williams
