Raising funds to Study Abroad for a month in NYC

Hi, I’m Kim and I study Musical Theatre at UCW (University Centre Weston). I am in my final year of study and have been given the opportunity to study abroad for an ENTIRE MONTH!

I am so fortunate to be given this opportunity but I sadly cannot receive much financial support from my university due to not being within the threshold to qualify for lots of the extra funding.

I first started dancing when I was 6. After a while it became a massive part of my life, I attended dance almost every day of the week and a theatre company in Birmingham every Sunday. I was basically living and breathing Musical Theatre and Dance (to be honest I still do!).

Then when I was 13 I auditioned for a Musical Theatre College in Birmingham called BOA (Birmingham Ormistons Academy), where I trained for 4 years.

I got given the opportunity to work with so many amazing people, be in a month-long show with professionals, and play a leading role in one of my final year musicals, Miss Amy March in ‘Little Women’.

Finally, this brings us up to now. I am in my final year of university!
