Hello everyone…

I hate asking for help, but I am at a place where I simply cannot swing this alone…

Montezuma, my oldest Australian Shepherd, has a torn ACL. This is a worst-case scenario for an injured dog… We are being referred to an orthopedic surgeon to fix his ACL surgically, which is extremely costly… The surgery itself comes at a high price, and the road doesn’t even stop there, as during recovery he will possibly need physical therapy and all the extra love and care as well… On the high end, this could cost close to $10k, and I simply don’t have that…

Monte is my soul dog, and those of you that have had the pleasure of meeting him know just how special he, in fact, is! He freely gives hugs and cuddles to anyone he meets. He has been from coast to coast with me, traveled the mountains high and the plains low… He has been through everything with me, and I can’t wait for him to be healed and be my little sidekick again! He is my protector, my shadow, and my boo boo… He has protected me within domestic violence (don’t worry, we have been out of that for a couple of years now), we have lived in multiple states, and traveled everywhere in between… Monte’s brother, Osiris, certainly is also worried about his brother and getting well to be able to play and get back to being “the boys.”

Please consider helping me in funding his surgery for his ACL to be corrected, as I hate seeing him in pain and being quite immobile due to his injury… The proceeds of this GoFundMe will go directly toward his surgery cost, as that is the next hurdle we are facing currently in his care… He has now completed several X-rays and is on some pretty high-dose pain meds to keep him calm and settled… It hurts me knowing Monte is in pain… If you are unable to contribute, please consider sharing as well.
