Monte Kuntz -- Husband, Father, Friend

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of Monte Kuntz. On November 20th, Monte unexpectedly passed away at his home in Black Forest, Colorado. Monte was a loving and dedicated family man who worked hard to provide a stable and happy life for him and Janine. Monte was a kind person and no matter where he went; he never met a stranger. He loved fabricating, fishing, hunting, vanning, hot rods, his Harley Davidson, farming, his emotional support goat Frik, all his fur family and most of all he loved and cherished his wife Janine, and both of his sons, Brandon and Dustin. If you ever met Monte, his kind spirit left an everlasting mark on all who had the privilege of crossing his path. His loss leaves a profound gap in Janine’s life.

We are asking for your financial help to pay for his funeral expenses and to help Janine recover and mourn until she obtains employment. Janine now faces the daunting and overwhelming journey of returning into the workforce, after not working for the last 23 years.

A little background: Monte suffered a horrendous injury in 2017 which rendered him disabled and unable to work, in the meantime (2022) he also suffered a serious car accident in which he injured his head, back, ribs, shoulder, and the accident ultimately resulted in a brain injury which made it hard for him to keep his balance and caused him to be unsteady on his feet.

Monte was the sole support for his family. As a result of the past injuries, both Monte and Janine have gone into tremendous debt. After his injuries they made immense sacrifices to support themselves including taking a substantial loan, pawning Monte’s award winning van, Janine’s wedding ring, and other valuable items. Now in the wake of Monte’s death, Janine is grappling not only with her huge emotional loss, but also with overwhelming financial difficulties and the real possibility of losing the van and her rings.

We humbly ask for your financial assistance to help pay for funeral services, to help pay bills, and any other unforeseen expenses that we all know will follow. Thank you for helping us honor Monte, for remembering the kindness he brought into our lives, and for celebrating a life lived with such wholehearted spirit. Anything helps and we appreciate all the love and all the support we are getting and we absolutely thank you all.
