Montana's Study Abroad Experience

Hello All,
My name is Montana Schelchere and I am a Third Year student at Emory University majoring in Psychology on a Pre-Medical track. To give you a feel of where my interests lie, I’ll speak about my involvement on and off campus. Given my interest in Caribbean culture, sisterhood, scholarship, service, research, and animals: I am the Vice President of The Association of Caribbean Educators and Students, The Treasurer of the Nu Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, a Research Assistant at Emory’s Graham Lab, and the Public Relations Chair/Trip Leader of Pawsitive Outreach.
Since Senior Year of high school, I have been interested in the Study Abroad Programs that many colleges have to offer - it was always my first question at college informational sessions. Now, I have already applied and been accepted to one of Emory’s study abroad programs that would allow me to do research in the field of child development with students in Scotland for 3 weeks, and then to analyze my findings with professors in London for another 2 weeks. This opportunity would knock out two experiences that I personally yearn for: experience in research, and experience in different societies globally (not to mention the credits and classes towards my degree). I have been wanting to study abroad for many years now but I am posed with the difficulties of funding this trip. I would receive financial aid to pay for a portion of the bill, and I have already applied to a variety of scholarships. However, even with this aid, my parents and I would still have trouble coming up with the difference of around $7,000 by Mid-May. I would greatly appreciate any help that you can provide: whether it be a donation or a share of this link. Thank you for your time and consideration!
