Monsignor Murphy's Virtual Tip Jar

The State of Illinois has mandated the closing of all bars and restaurants in an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19.  Our local neighborhood bar, our home away from home,  Monsignor Murphy's, has been forced to close for the unforeseeable future. While our community continues to navigate these unprecedented times, we share in the concern for our neighbors, friends and family whose livelihoods depend on the entertainment, service and hospitality industry.

We're all going to have to get creative in both occupying our time and keeping ourselves financially afloat.  This bar is not just a bar, but a family. Albeit at times dysfunctional, but nevertheless, FAMILY.

If we've put a smile on your face, shown you a good time, tossed you a shot or two on the house (shhh, don't tell Paul), or lent you an ear... please consider returning the love, whatever that may look like for you. We know the service industry isn't the only one suffering and times are tough for all.

Every little bit helps and the funds will be distributed evenly among the staff of Monsignor Murphy's.  From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You.  We look forward to the day we can reopen our doors and again share TouchTunes, Jeopardy, a White Claw or 5, and for the love of all that is holy... Baseball!!!

Stay well and we hope to see you all soon!
