In Loving Memory of
Monserrate Torres Santiago
April 26, 1942 – November 12, 2025
Age 83
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Monserrate Torres Santiago, who entered eternal rest on November 12, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on April 26, 1942, Monserrate lived a long, vibrant, and spirited life filled with love, laughter, and faith. She was feisty, independent, and full of life — always ready with a story to tell and a smile to share. Even as she faced dementia with courage and humor, her joyful personality and strong will continued to shine. Not even dementia could hold her down.
Monserrate spent her final year and a half in a nursing home in central Pennsylvania, where she was cared for with love and compassion. Despite her health challenges, her spirit remained unbroken until she peacefully succumbed to a fast-moving infection.
She was a devoted member of Praise and Worship Healing Ministry of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where her faith and love for the Lord inspired all who knew her.
Monserrate was the proud mother of three children — Jose A. Zayas (deceased, 2003), Freddy Zayas, and Maribel Rosario. She is also survived by her loving siblings Naldo Torres and Zoraida Torres, as well as her children Freddy Zayas and Maribel Rosario. as well as her many nieces and nephews. Her legacy continues through 10 grandchildren, over 15 great-grandchildren, and one more on the way — each a precious part of the family she so dearly loved.
Eighty-three beautiful years of life, cut short, but we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace and with the Lord.
