Monse and baby to come, have just lost their dad.

'Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Romans 12:15

 

We met Jonathan four years ago, through his girlfriend Isabella. We met Isabella at a teen mom center in Chula Vista, she was expecting her daughter Monse. Jonathan and Isabella started coming to Young lives

(our ministry to teen parents) and soon became apart of our Young Life South Bay Family. Isabella never missed a club, bible study or event. She quickly fell in love with Jesus and started to bring Jonathan to church with her. Jonathan was hard working and would work long days at Kearny Mesa Chevrolet and Team Mazda of El Cajon, and still manage to make it to club after work. He was a loving father, and supportive husband. He always contributed to our potlucks for Young Lives by bringing a dish to share, he also would share parts of his heart during small groups.

 

Sadly he was in a car accident on Sunday Jan 16th and died suddenly on the scene. He has left his girlfriend Isabella, and daughter Monse behind as well as a second child that Isabella is expecting in May.

 

Jonathan was the main income for their little family, and we wanted to be able to help Isabella with expenses towards her daughter and baby by alleviating some of the financial burden she is feeling right now. Any amount you decide to give will help this family. And beyond any amount, your prayers, your notes of comfort, your presence will also help in her time of sorrow and grief. We know that Jesus referred to himself as a Man of Sorrow and is near Isabella and family as they mourn. Today we mourn with them.
