My name is Sandra Monroe, I'm a 37 year old mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, aunt, sister and Registered Nurse. I was recently diagnosed with a fast growing acute leukemia. I will remain in the hospital for a long period of time while getting my treatments started and making sure I'm responding and tolerating them. I've had to receive multiple units of platelets and RBCs since admission and will likely continue to need them throughout treatment and chemo. As you can imagine, I haven't been able to work in 2 weeks and I will not be able to work for quiet a long time. This puts a huge burden on my family to lose our primary source of income, yes, my husband works but his checks unfortunately are not going to cover much because he just became the soul provider and care taker of 4 children while also supporting me at the hospital. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a strong, independent woman that doesn't ask for help but I am swallowing my pride for my kids! They need stability and minimal change as possible. We worked so hard to become homeowners and anything I can do to help us keep our home during this while I'm stuck in the hospital I'm going to do for them! If you could please donate, share or even just pray I would really appreciate it! We are asking for donations to help pay for our mortgage, utilities, groceries, gas for my husband driving to/ from Rushville to Indy to see me throughout the week etc. Thank you in advance. God Bless!
