Monroe family devastated by complete loss of home
Donation protected
On Thursday afternoon, July 20th, the home of Larry and Diana Nixon and their three children was destroyed by fire. Thankfully, Larry--who was home with the boys--was alerted and able to get everyone out safely, including the family dogs. By the time Diana arrived home, the house was fully engulfed and six fire engines were on the scene battling the blaze. Despite their efforts, the house (in the words of Snohomish County Regional Fire & Rescue) "sustained significant damage and is a complete loss."
The Nixons are going to need significant help in the coming days and weeks. Except for a few mementos, they lost virtually everything they owned. They'll need to establish temporary housing and replace their clothing and furnishings. Please consider helping. No donation is too small. Let's rally as a community and show this family some love and compassion.
